6 Storm Signals: Leopard Max’s Sky Rescue with the Toy Walkie Talkie
The sky over the Whispering Jungle was turning gray.
Leopard Max looked up. “A storm is coming,” he said, clutching his free license kids walkie talkie. “And Pip’s flying patrol is still out there!”
Suddenly—CRACK!—lightning split the sky.
“Mayday! Mayday!” came Pip’s voice over the toy walkie talkie. “Winds strong… visibility low… stuck in the canopy!”
Max clicked on his flashlight and said, “Hang tight. I’m coming. Let’s use the 6 storm signals.”
⚡ Signal 1: The High Wind Whisper
Max switched the VOX feature on his walkie talkie. That way, he didn’t have to press buttons while climbing trees.
“Use soft voice,” he whispered. “VOX will carry it.”
From above, Pip answered, “Got it! Whisper mode activated!”

Max blinked his walkie talkie’s flashlight three times toward the treetops.

From the canopy, Pip blinked back: Flash—pause—flash.
“That means ‘I see you!’” Max grinned.
The toy walkie talkie’s flashlight was their eye-to-eye link in the storm.

Rain hit hard. The walkie talkie signal crackled.
Max pressed the side button and called, “Switch to Channel 6! Less static there!”

Clear as sky, Pip came back: “Better now!”

Max couldn’t yell through the wind.
So, he tapped a code on his walkie talkie: tap, tap-tap, tap.
Pip recognized it: “Climb higher now.”
It was their storm signal code — and it worked through sound, not voice.

To find Pip’s exact spot, Max whistled into his toy walkie talkie.
The whistle echoed — left, then right.
He adjusted direction. “Your echo bounced from the east side!”
Within minutes, he spotted Pip stuck in a vine tangle.

Pip was shaking from fear.
Max spoke calmly through the walkie talkie: “We’re going to count to five together.”
“One… two… three…”
By five, Pip breathed easier and untangled himself.
“Coming down now!” he said.

Pip landed gently, dripping wet but safe.
“You saved me using six signals,” he said. “Without the toy walkie talkie, I’d still be up there!”
Max smiled. “In storms or sunshine, this little thing is more than a toy. It’s a lifesaver.”
They clicked walkie talkies and shouted, “Jungle team, safe and sound!”
