Zara was lying in the bathtub, pretending it was a submarine, when her toy walkie talkie made a strange blub-blub sound.
“Operator Zara, do you read? This is Ink-7 from Channel Aqua-7. We’re tangled in the Coral Grid.”
She sat up fast. “Who’s we?”
“The Deep Sea Signal Network. And I’m... an octopus.”
Her free license kids walkie talkie lit up faintly blue. Zara whispered, “Are you really an octopus?”
“Certified tentacle operator. Eight limbs. One emergency. Coral Grid failure.”
Zara immediately dove back under the water (well, sort of), and declared, “I’m on it. What’s the first task?”
“Solve the code of the sea stars. Their glow is the key.”
A soft hum vibrated through the toy walkie talkie as the octopus spoke:
“Five sea stars blink in pattern: Blue, Green, Green, Blue, Red. Match the color sequence to spell the message.”
Zara grabbed her bathtub crayons and wrote the letters: B, G, G, B, R.
“It spells: BEGIN.”
“Correct,” said Ink-7. “You’ve opened the Coral Hatch!”
Zara squealed with delight. “What’s next?”
She used cups for sonar, her ducky as a periscope, and stuck plastic fish to the wall to make a map.
The free license kids walkie talkie became her underwater command unit.
Ink-7 gave more instructions:
- Rearrange the sponge buoys
- Knock three times to reset the echo sonar
- Whisper the secret passphrase: “Bubble Bubble Signal Trouble”
Each step lit up Zara’s imagination—and her walkie talkie buzzed with pride.
Her mom popped her head in as “Captain Splash,” warning of a wave dragon spotted near the towel rack.
Her dad (from the hallway) played “Clam Hacker #3,” who sent encrypted bubble codes she had to decode using shampoo caps.
With teamwork, they restored signal flow to the deep sea network—and saved the underwater octopus base.
Sometimes the most exciting adventures happen under the surface.
With a toy walkie talkie, a bathtub becomes an ocean.
With a free license kids walkie talkie, children connect to coral mysteries, clever sea creatures, and a world full of sparkle and signals.
Because even in the quietest water... someone might be calling.
